Cynthia:
Two years have gone by now since being hired at Cosmopawlitan and for the first time in
my life I know what it’s like to have a job I actually want to come to when I get up in the
morning. It’s safe to say I am one of the luckiest people I know. Every day I get to walk
into Cosmopawlitan and spend my time surrounded by some of the most wonderful pets
and people someone could know. In a million years I couldn’t ask for better company. I
look forward to every smile, every laugh, every challenge and every drooly, sloppy kiss.
Words can’t express how much I love my amazing Cosmo family (and customers) and I
hope I don’t have to say goodbye for a long time!

Evelyn:
June 3, 2009 was my first day as a grooming assistant at Cosmopawlitan Pet Boutique
and Spa. As an aspiring human resources professional, at the time, I thought of this
position as simply a summer and part-time job that would help pay for my college tuition.
I started this position with absolutely no knowledge of grooming; I was only familiar with
dog breeds. As I spent increasing hours preparing dogs for their grooms and observing
the groomer, I became familiar with grooming terminology and techniques. While
working at Cosmopawlitan, I developed an interest in grooming and after being trained
on several aspects of grooming including clipper work, I was given the opportunity to be
a junior pet stylist. Not only has this opportunity confirmed my interest in grooming but it
has further sparked it in this profession. What began as just a job has now turned into a
rewarding career. In January, I will be attending a school in Calgary as a grooming
student and will return a professional groomer!

Hillary:
7 months ago I was in need,
of a job in which I could succeed
No other ad looked quite as neat,
as working for a pet boutique
JJ, Rock, Mill and Lucca gave the test,
and decided I would be the best.
Playing, walking, drooling too,
are all part of the things we do.
Cosmo is the place to play,
the place to be, a place to stay.
So I became the retail hound,
and knew that here a place I`d found.
A job that I could really love,
a new family to be part of.
At Cosmopawlitan I enjoy coming to work. I feel a large sense of (Cosmo) community,
not just amongst our team but also with customers. I've had the opportunity to learn so
much about my pets through working here, and am able to help other people learn more
about their pets and their pets' nutrition. I thoroughly enjoy my job, and love getting to visit
all my fur nieces and nephews that I've gained working here!

Customer enters Cosmopawlitan...
Customer: Are the dogs (Miller and Lucca - 2 mastiffs) friendly?
Jennifer: Yes, very.
Customer: Can I pet them?
Jennifer: Of course, thank you!
Customer: Whose are they? Are they in daycare?
Jennifer: They are my dogs, hanging out with me at work.
Customer: BOTH of them?!?
Jennifer: - laughs - yes, both of them.
Customer: You bring your dogs to work with you?
Jennifer: Yep, everyday!
Customer: Wow, you have the best job in the world!
Jennifer: I KNOW!!!
Not only is Cosmopawlitan an amazing place to work, but being able to have my dogs
with me at work everyday has truly made this place my second home. Working in such a
pleasant, happy atmosphere is not only treat, but also very rare for most. I love coming to
work and helping people do whatever they can to make their dogs and cats happier. I
love coming to work because it makes my dogs happy to get love from each and every
customer that walks in the door; and most of all I love coming to work because I love my
job!

Sair:
Do I feel lucky to have crash landed in Cosmopawlitan or WHAT!? Never have I ever felt
so welcomed and supported. I came to Toronto from the boonies (read: Newtonville,
population 400) and immediately felt at home with the girls of Cosmo. We are so
privileged to work here! Not only am I able to buy my dog food and treats where I work,
but I can bring my best (furry) friends with me everyday! No more separation anxiety for
Whiskey and Molson!
Grooming at Cosmopawlitan is a rare treat for a groomer, with a grooming assistance
staff and amazing customers. It also doesn't hurt that the girls let me listen to my
favourite classical music radio station all day. But what I really have to say about Cosmo
is that I love the people I work with every day. It's never hard for me to get up in the
morning when I know I'm headed down to the Queen Quay. The team is so hard working
and has taught me so much about the pet retail industry. They've also been amazing to
my dogs; Whisk and Mo love coming to get their pats and treats and visit with their
friends Miller and Lucca. I can't imagine having a better place to work, or more awesome
people to work with. Cosmopawlitan really is the best.
